Where Art, Education, and Community Unite to Regenerate the Earth
At Creatives For The Planet, the first half of 2025 has been defined by meaningful action, creative transformation, and deep environmental commitment. From coastal cleanups to educational programs grounded in art and community, we’ve remained rooted in our mission: to restore balance between people and nature.
Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved so far—and what lies ahead.
2025 in Numbers
3,055 kg of waste removed from beaches, forests, and seabeds
186 volunteers involved across 8 clean-up actions
119 students participated in educational workshops
2 community artworks created from recycled materials
16 partnerships with aligned organizations
2 educational videos published on social media
2,000+ single-use cups avoided through circular programs
Each number tells a story of effort, connection, and transformation.
Actions Taken
1. Discovering KIO on the Galaxie (First Expedition)
In January, we sailed aboard the world’s largest electric-powered sailboat, together with young participants, to explore Posidonia meadows, clean up coastal areas, and learn about marine biodiversity—all inspired by the children’s book KIO the Seahorse.
2. Festival Club Cleanup + Urban Art
In February, 25 volunteers collected 425 kg of waste—including 150 kg of spray cans—and transformed the space into a vibrant mural alongside young artists and Aida Miró.
3. Zero Waste Festival, Barcelona
In March, we showcased an art installation at Drap-Art’s Zero Waste Festival alongside 400+ participants from across Europe. The message: art can lead us toward a waste-free future.

4. Cleanups Across Ibiza
Throughout the first half of the year, we led numerous cleanup actions in collaboration with local organizations and dedicated volunteers. These cleanups didn’t just remove waste—they sparked awareness about consumption habits, environmental pollution, and the importance of caring for our land together.
These actions uncovered forgotten spaces, revealed legacy dumpsites, and strengthened intergenerational collaboration. Each cleanup became a moment of reconnection with the Earth and collective responsibility.
Ses Salines (93 kg)
Playa d’en Bossa (37 kg)
Cala Roja to Cala Bassa (1,500 kg of long-buried waste)
Cala Llonga (345 kg)
Cala Martina (547 kg)
Cap Martinet (65 kg with Bye Bye Plastic & solar DJ set)
Each site restored reflects the power of collective action.
5. Art With Purpose
“El Virot” Sculpture: As part of the APS Badia de Portmany program, we co-created a sculpture with 67 students representing the Virot—an endangered seabird native to the Balearic Islands. Made from milk bottles, containers, and inner tubes, the piece emphasizes the importance of biodiversity and the power of art to carry urgent messages.
Let’s Care for the Island (upcoming): A collaborative 10 m² mural made from recycled plastic will be co-created with schools across Ibiza. This community artwork aims to turn waste into inspiration and strengthen eco-education through creative expression.
6. Education for the Next Generation
KIO House of Kids at 7Pines: Creative workshops exploring sustainability through stories, recycled art, group reflection, and eco-games. We return in summer with new hands-on sessions.
Six Senses Ibiza Collaboration: We led an art workshop for hotel staff and their families at the Learning Center, strengthening the bond between wellbeing, creativity, and ecology. The day also served as a thank-you for their support of our Let’s Care for the Island initiative.
KIO + Galaxie Program (Second Expedition): In late May, students read KIO the Seahorse in class, discussed marine pollution, participated in a beach cleanup, and boarded the electric sailboat Galaxie. This complete experience united learning, emotion, and direct action.
Tornem a la Terra Guide: Starting this fall, we’ll visit first-year secondary classrooms to explore rural knowledge, food sovereignty, and traditional tools as part of environmental reflection.
KIO Coloring Book: Launching in September, this fun, educational book will be distributed to children across the island, teaching about plastic pollution, teamwork, and mindful habits through storytelling and games.
7. Circular Impact at Events
At the Fantasía Ibiza Festival, our circular cup campaign helped avoid the use of more than 2,000 single-use plastic cups.
What’s Coming Next
We’re keeping the momentum strong. In the months ahead:
July to September: Climate and Posidonia awareness workshops at Fish Shack
August: New sessions at 7Pines focused on immersive nature education
September: Island-wide action for World Cleanup Day
Our guiding motto remains:
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
