In 2024, Creatives For The Planet turned intention into action, creativity into impact, and community into change. Across the beaches, classrooms, festivals, and gardens of Ibiza and beyond, we came together with hundreds of volunteers, supporters, and collaborators to tackle some of the most pressing environmental and social challenges of our time.
As we reflect on the past year, what stands out is not just the numbers—though they are impressive—but the heart, art, and effort behind each action.
Inspiring Environmental Leadership Through Creativity and Action
For over 13 years, our mission has been to raise environmental awareness through creative action. This year, we continued that journey through:
Cleanup initiatives across beaches and coastlines
Educational programs for youth and families
Reforestation and biodiversity efforts
Art-based awareness campaigns
Documentaries and storytelling that preserve ancestral wisdom
Consulting on circular systems for events and organizations
We believe the difference lies in action, and this year, we saw that difference in motion.
Our Measurable Impact in 2024
3,890 kg of waste removed in 8 coastal cleanups
381 volunteers mobilized
785 schoolchildren engaged in educational programs
5 art pieces made with recycled materials
9 major collaborations with NGOs and companies
55 youth in the “Cycle of Life” program
1 educational video viewed across social platforms
These numbers only tell part of the story. Let’s dive deeper into the experiences and events that made 2024 unforgettable.

Cleanups: Turning Trash into Action
Cala d’Hort (Jan 20) marked our first cleanup of the year, with 29 volunteers clearing 80 kg of waste in just two hours. The energy was high, the commitment palpable, and the plastics—especially polystyrene—a grim reminder of our consumption habits.
Sant Antoni Bay (Feb 3) saw 50+ people remove 3,000 kg of waste from the seabed, including a boat and tires. Unity truly made the difference here, as multiple NGOs worked side by side to restore the bay.
Ses Salines to Es Cavallet (May 28) was a bittersweet event. While 200 kg of bulky waste was removed, we also encountered a dead dolphin. A sobering moment that strengthened our resolve to act.
World Clean Up Day (Sept 20 & 22) united people globally, and we contributed with two cleanups in Cala Benirrás and Es Vedrá. Together, 28 people removed 489 kg of waste, while children transformed trash into art. 15 more joined us days later to clear 61 kg, including hazardous vapes and cigarette butts.
Punic Sanctuary Cleanup (Sept 7) showed us the fragile balance between heritage tourism and environmental respect, as we cleaned this historic site with reverence and purpose.
Education as Empowerment
School Programs: Our school workshops reached 785 children, teaching environmental concepts in engaging, sensory ways—whether through art, gardens, or bee observation. The launch of our “Cycle of Life” program invited young minds to explore natural systems hands-on.
Medicinal Gardens (April 27 & June 28): Families and children explored the power of plants, learning to create natural products like massage oils and perfumes, fostering deep connections with the land.
Bee Workshop (July 26): With beekeeper Hans Salewski, kids witnessed the incredible world of bees, from communication to honey-making. A powerful metaphor for cooperation and sustainability.
Fish Shack Cleanup & Workshop (July 13): 35 children helped clean the beach, then used collected plastics to craft a vibrant fish sign now proudly displayed in Talamanca.
Educational Guide for Torna a la Terra (March to Oct): Distributed to 42 schools and 653 students, the guide encouraged reflections on rural traditions, food sovereignty, and artisanal sustainability.
Art and Awareness
Why? No Es Guay Campaign (March 6 & Oct): In collaboration with CECPA, this traveling campaign against vape use visited 7 schools. The highlight: a stunning sculpture using 237 discarded vapes that asked the simple question: “Why are we creating harmful products for our planet and health?”
Tornem a la Terra Documentary Season 3 (March 8): Presented in front of 80+ attendees, five new ethnoclips celebrated rural women and ancestral traditions. Educational guides were also launched, cementing the project’s place in classrooms.
World Recycling Day (May 17): A dual celebration:
A 3×3 meter mural made from 15,000 plastic caps by IES Santa Maria students
The debut of the “Marine Plastic Pollution” artwork, created by 195 students and designed to change based on perspective: clean ocean vs. plastic-filled future
Fantasia Festival (May 17-19): Our Circular Cup campaign reduced plastic waste over three days of festivities, while six large-format art-cycling sculptures turned heads and sparked vital conversations about consumption.
Drap-Art BCN (Oct 4): For the first time, we joined Barcelona’s international sustainable art festival. Our fish sculpture was displayed at Arenas, symbolizing the transformation of waste into awareness.
