Kio – The Little Big Seahorse
This is the first book in the Kio series. Kio, the seahorse maiden, is born during a violent storm. Troubled by the strange, colourful plastic pieces she finds in the sea, she sets out to find answers. With help from a wise octopus and a human girl concerned for the sea, she undertakes an ocean-journey of discovery and caring.
Available in five languages, this book is designed for children & families who wish to engage with marine conservation through story.
Kio – Everything in Flow
In this new volume, the story expands: told through the eyes of Kio the seahorse and a boy searching for his place in the world, the narrative explores the cycle of water and life—rivers, seas, forests, animals and humans—all interconnected. It’s poetic, heartfelt and invites children to see how every small action can ripple into change.
This next chapter reinforces Kio’s message: nothing stands still — everything is flowing, everything is linked.
Kio’s message comes alive through creative education and hands-on environmental projects led by Creatives for the Planet, a collective of artists, educators, and changemakers.

“Discovering Kio on the Galaxie” is a four-step educational journey that transforms imagination into real-world impact.
Starting with the storybook Kio, the Little Big Seahorse, children read and reflect in class, take part in a creative workshop, join a beach cleanup, and finally set sail aboard the Galaxie — one of the world’s largest electric sailboats — to explore Ibiza’s marine biodiversity.
This unique combination of storytelling, education, and hands-on experience empowers children to become active protectors of the sea.
The project promotes environmental awareness, sustainable innovation, and supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (4, 13, 14, 17).
Together with Creatives for the Planet, we turn imagination into impact — starting where we are, using what we have, doing what we can.
The Kio House of Kids is a space created in partnership with 7Pines Resorts in Ibiza and Sardinia and Schloss Roxburghe in Scotland, where learning, creativity, and environmental awareness come together through play.
Inspired by Kio’s stories, the clubs invite children to explore nature, understand sustainability, and express their ideas through art, gardening, recycling and beach activities.
By donating to Creatives for the Planet, these hotels take real responsibility for inspiring the next generation. Their support ensures that educational workshops are carried out, that materials and guidance reach local teams, and that children everywhere can experience how small actions make a big difference for our planet.
